Last modified: Monday, March 24, 2008 1:00 AM EDT Sign up for scholarships in Mansfield MANSFIELD - The Citizens' Scholarship Foundation of Mansfield has announced that 2008 scholarship applications are now available both online and at the Mansfield High School guidance office. All public and private high school students who are residents of Mansfield are eligible to apply for the scholarships, which range from $300 to $1,500. Mansfield residents who are currently enrolled in college are also welcome to apply or reapply for financial aid. In 2007, the foundation awarded roughly $44,000 in scholarships to Mansfield students. Recipients are selected primarily based on financial need, calculated based on information provided by the College Scholarship Service in Princeton, N.J. All applicants must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be eligible for consideration. A copy of the student's FAFSA must be included with the application. All applications must be received by the foundation by April 18. Scholarships will be presented at the annual Scholarship Awards Night in June.
