Last modified: Saturday, March 22, 2008 3:44 PM EDT THOMPSON: It's time for change in North BY MICHAEL THOMPSON / I ask for your vote on April 1 because I believe we need to get back to planning for the future of North Attleboro. It is something that has been missing for a long time. I have been a resident of North Attleboro all of my life and have raised my three daughters here and am now watching my grandson grow up here. North Attleboro is a great community and I am proud to have lived and served here and I know my children feel the same way, as they have chosen to stay. I am concerned about their future and look to create a financial plan to ensure all our children and grandchildren's education. When was the last time you heard of a financial plan? Or for that matter, when have you seen anybody look at the master plans that this town has spent tens of thousands of dollars putting together. There are master plans for development, roads, sewer, water and a multitude of other recommendations. Have you ever seen any of them or, for that matter, even brought up at any of the recent meetings? I say it's time that we get our money's worth and pull all of these together.
