Jacques, who used to represent the Attleboro area, had faced questions about her qualifications for the job and a fundraising account she maintains.
But the panel voted 6-1 on Wednesday to confirm her. The lone opponent, Councilor Mary-Ellen Manning, said Jacques was being rewarded with the job after raising money for Gov. Deval Patrick.
Councilor Marilyn Petitto Devaney of Watertown had sought a week delay in the vote, saying she had questions about the $127,000 political account maintained by Jacques.
Other judges can't have those accounts for conflict-of-interest reasons.
Devaney says Jacques told her she would get rid of the money in the account.
The judgeship will give Jacques the opportunity to gain enough service time in state government to qualify for a pension. She needs four more years to qaulify for a pension worth 80 percent of her salary.
Her salary as a judge for the industrial accident board will be almost $107,000.
