Here is the schedule for the 2008 Early Spring Banjo Fling, which runs Thursday through Sunday at the Mansfield Holiday Inn. All events are free and open to the public:

Thursday, April 3

7-9 p.m. - Stroll Down Memory Lane starring the Stone Street Strummers with special guest Dave Marty. Music from the 1920s and 1930s, the Tin Pan Alley Era.

Friday, April 4

Garden Court welcome party 2-6 p.m. - guest performers Dixie Diehards 2-3 p.m., Steve Caddick and Avalon 3-4 p.m., Jeff Grosser 4-5 p.m., Dave Marty 5-6 p.m., 7-9:20 p.m. Buckingham Ballroom. Friday Night concert performances: Tom Stuip 7-7:20 p.m., Paul Doerner 7:20-7:40 p.m., Kurt and Dave 7:40-8 p.m., Steve Caddick 8-8:20 p.m., Cynthia Sayer 8:20-8:40 p.m., Jeff Grosser 8:40-9 p.m., Mike Hashem 9-9:20 p.m.

9:30 p.m.-closing, organized jam led by Tom Fee with music selections projected on screen, Board Room

1-6 p.m., rehearsal space, Buckingham

9 a.m.-noon, workshops, aphitheater (9-9:55 a.m. Mike Currao Intros, fill-ins and endings; 10-10:55 a.m., Dave Marty. "My Way", touching mainly on the importance of the left hand, and chord inversions related to playing melody with chords; 11 a.m.-noon, Kurt Abell and Dave Frey, "Transposing a Tune" Lobby Performances on Saturday Morning:

9-9:55 a.m., Jim and Geri Rheel, Garden Court; 10-10:55 a.m., Mike Currao, Garden Court. Gala all-star show, Buckingham Ballroom, 1-4 p.m.

Headliner concert 7:30-8:10 p.m., Michael Nix 7 string Banjo. Buckingham Ballroom; 8:15-9:15 p.m., Dave Marty "Mr. Smooth" Plectrum Banjoist extrodinaire.

Sunday April 6

9:30-11 a.m.: Buckingham Gospel Jam Hosted by Tom Fee.
