NORTON - A former Norton dance instructor convicted of having sex with a 15-year-old student has been arraigned in New Bedford Superior Court on similar charges involving a 15-year-old student he taught in Rhode Island.
Keith Sampson, 29, of South Easton, now serving a 4- to 7-year prison term for the Norton case, pleaded innocent Monday to rape of a child with force, giving alcohol to a minor and drugging for sexual intercourse.
He is being held at MCI-Cedar Junction in Walpole and is due back in court May 1 for a pretrial conference. No trial date has been set.
Sampson is accused of taking a girl he met at a dance studio in Johnston, R.I., to his South Easton condominium Dec. 29, where the alleged assault took place about a week before his trial in the Norton rape.
He was convicted of statutory rape Jan. 10 for having sex with a 15-year-old Norton girl at the Holiday Inn in Taunton, where he invited her and a friend to play drinking games.
Sampson denied ever having sex with the girl.
