SEEKONK - Four candidates are running for three seats on the planning board in Monday's town election, but only one race is being contested. Incumbent David Viera is running unopposed for a five-year seat, while Sandra Foulkes is running unopposed for a two-year seat.
John Monk and Lee Dunn are competing for a three-year seat on the board. Monk did not respond to several calls from The Sun Chronicle; Dunn's profile follows:

Lee Dunn, 61, is a longtime town resident who wants to bring change to the board. Watching Seekonk shed much of its agricultural properties to make space for commercial development has been tough for Dunn to witness. "I watched farmland disappear," Dunn said.
She wants to protect the environment and maintain a clean water supply.
For many years, Dunn ran a seafood restaurant with her husband and children. The importance of maintaining town waterways and keeping them free from pollution is something Dunn feels passionately about.
Dunn wants to see Seekonk grow, but not too fast. Cluster zoning is a concept that Dunn supports as a way to control growth.
Dunn has been representing Seekonk as a member of Southeastern Regional l Planning and Economic Development District, known as SRPEDD, in addition to serving as an alternate on the zoning board of appeals.
"The board could use some more diversity," Dunn said, noting there were currently two building contractors on the board.
