Mosquito spraying to start soon

Mosquito spraying in Norfolk County, including Foxboro, Plainville, Wrentham, and Norfolk, will begin the week of April 14 and should end Saturday, April 26.

The Norfolk County Mosquito Control Project will be conducting helicopter applications of the biorational larvicide Bti (Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis) in large wetlands to control mosquito larvae.

The spraying and dates are weather contingent. There will also be summer spraying if necessary.

Go to http://massnrc.org/ncmcp for spring wetland locations. The summer wetland locations will be posted if applications are warranted.

For further information, contact Project Director John Smith at 1-781-762-3681 or local boards of health.
