MANSFIELD - Rebecca Levine tamed the bats of the Foxboro High softball team Monday.

The Mansfield High sophomore pitcher allotted the Warriors merely two hits as the Hornets posted a 6-1 victory in the Hockomock League game. Levine retired 10 Warriors on strikes.

Mansfield touched Foxboro pitcher Lynnea Gleason for eight hits, scoring four runs, two of which were earned in the first inning. Jacki MacPherson socked an RBI-triple in that go-ahead frame.

The Hornets host King Philip Wednesday, while Foxboro has a home game against Sharon.

King Philip 10, Canton 0 CANTON - Jen Jones a perfect game, blanking the Bulldogs in a Hockomock League games.

Jones, a senior, retired 10 Bulldogs on strikes, four of the six batters that she faced, while not issuing a walk.

Jones allowed just one ball to be out out of the infield, that a flyball hit to Sarah Hedtler in left field in the sixth inning.

Conversely, the Warriors amassed 16 hits with Maggie Quealy smashing four. KP (4-1) visits Mansfield Wednesday.

North Attleboro 5, Sharon 1

SHARON - Jackie O'Neill tossed a complete-game one-hitter as the Rocketeers defeated the Eagles in a Hockomock League game.

O'Neill surrendered one run and one hit, striking out one batters, walking one and hitting one. She retired the side in the first, second, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh innings, setting down the final 11 batters of the game.

Brenna Johnson had a pair of singles and eight assists at shortstop.

North (2-2, 2-1 league) will travel to Canton Wednesday.
