Attleboro cultural council planning to recognize recipients

ATTLEBORO - The Attleboro Cultural Council will recognize 29 outstanding grant recipients at a reception in their honor on Saturday, April 26. In conjunction with Earth Day celebration activities at Oak Knoll Wildlife Sanctuary, grant recipients will meet and greet the community between noon and 4 p.m.

Attleboro Cultural Council's mission is to promote excellence, access, education and diversity in the arts, humanities, and interpretive sciences. The council awarded $16,999 for cultural programs in Attleboro. A full list of the selected grant recipients is available online at www.attleboroculturalcouncil.org.

Grants are awarded from a pool of funds distributed to Attleboro by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency that supports arts and culture at the center of efforts to build stronger communities, improve the quality of education, and foster economic growth. Attleboro Cultural Council supports projects that explore local arts and history, expand education and accessibility, and celebrate diversity.
