GOBIS: Warriors looking to go turfing




The King Philip Regional High School booster clubs need a million bucks!

A group of community volunteers, representing Wrentham, Norfolk and Plainville are undertaking the project of raising funds to install an all-weather synthetic field surface, similar to the one at Mansfield High's Alumni Field, which in turn would be used for the football, field hockey, soccer, lacrosse teams and band competitions. Rich Harwood, president of the KP Gridiron Club said "our proposed plan ... fits with our communities' vision." And KP Athletic Director Steve Schairer supports the project, "the plan offers the student-athletes in our school system a terrific opportunity to practice, play and compete in an environment that will promote our athletics program and create a real sense of identity for our Warriors." ...
