'Makeover' given boost by builder from city

ABC's hit television show "Extreme Makeover Home Edition" got a little help recently from Gerry Fricot, owner of Fricot Building & Remodeling of Attleboro.

Fricot donated his time on a recent project in Warwick, R.I., when the show remodeled the home of the Silva family, which has five special needs children.

"Twenty-seven hours after the start of framing, we were inside a semi-finished house doing custom trim work. During the 27 hours, the house was framed, roofed, wired, plumbed, ducted, insulated, dry walled, and the walls primed, to make it ready for trim. It was unreal! "We also had to battle a snowstorm in the midst of the construction," Fricot said. You can catch the Warwick episode on ABC-TV (Channels 5, 6) on Sunday, May 4.
