Feehan students 'Got Talent'
ATTLEBORO - Bishop Feehan High School recently held auditions and a follow-up talent show with an "American Idol/America's Got Talent" show. Three faculty judges - Neil Loew, Alden Harrison and Catherine Servant, who sat in as a Paula Abdul wannabe - critiqued student performances, eliminating eight out of 14 acts.
The final show included a montage of clips taken from the auditions round, including a spoof by Caitlyn Douglass (Franklin) as a disgruntled rejected contestant.
Students voted online for their favorite acts.
The judges presented a "Judges Award" to Alex Vita of Mansfield for his jaw-dropping rendition of Elton John's "Your Song."
He was also the students' choice winner and received a free pair of prom tickets. Greg Brown of Norton and Jason Brown of Plainville won second place and prom tickets for their performance of David Bowie's "Space Oddity."
Feehan hopes to make "Feehan's Got Talent" an annual event. |
