Millers celebrate 50th wedding anniversary

Frank E. and Alice M. (Kowalski) Miller are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on April 20. The couple's daughters and sons-in-law are hosting a small celebration in their honor at the Colonel Blackinton Inn in Attleboro.

The couple married on April 20, 1958 at St. Colman in Brockton.

Mr. Miller graduated from Plainville High School and attended Northeastern University. He turned 80 in January and is a retired, self-employed carpenter.

Mrs. Miller graduated from Brockton High School and was a homemaker until her youngest daughter began attending school. She worked at Engelhard Industries and Leach and Garner before starting her own real estate company, Property Lines, in 1987.

The couple raised three daughters - Marnie Vassallo of Melrose, Cathie Bailey of Dorchester, and the late Carolyn Miller, formerly of Wareham. They also have two grandchildren, Nicholas Robert Vassallo and Anna Carolyn Bailey.
