Tribute to Eleanor Santsaver

On April 25 at 6 p.m., my bride of almost 60 years, took the westbound and passed over the rainbow. She came to Rhode Island as a child from Ohio, born in Columbus, Oct. 16, 1930 to Thelma Bingham and William Beckett, unaware of what would happen as she grew up and eventually moved to Massachusetts. For her memory, I give the following record of her life's journey.

I captured her in front of the old capitol theater in downtown Pawtucket. We were married on June 12, 1948 in the Oldtowne Church by Rev. Smiley. She continued to work at J. P. Coats until our first child was born in September of 1949. In 1952 we moved into our own home on Paine Road. Other children came and eventually totaled seven. Peter Wayne, Brian Scott, Kathy Lynn of Arizona, Kim Marie of California, James Robert, Karen Marie and David Michael. From the seven came 17 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Five generations walking this spaceship at the same time.

Her wishes will be carried out by the Diamond Funeral Home, on North Washington Street in North Attleboro, where following cremation, friends and family on Thursday may attend a visitation and service from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial at a later date will be private. By her loving husband,

Peter Santsaver
