Rebecca Gaitonde, 59

ATTLEBORO - Rebecca Ann Gaitonde, 59, of 114 Lussier Ave., South Attleboro, a loving and caring wife and mother, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2008 at home. She was the beloved wife of Manmohan Gaitonde.

Born in Somerset, Pa., on May 12, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Frinda (Rummel) Varner.

Rebecca was educated in the schools of York, Pa. A nurse, she retired years ago after working in the nursing field in Pennsylvania and the local area. She was very creative and enjoyed artwork and cooking.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons: Cory Gaitonde of Attleboro, Bryan Gaitonde of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Eric Gaitonde of Attleboro. Also survived by her grandchildren: Jessica, Ian, and Aidan Gaitonde. She was the mother of the late Shanta Gaitonde.

All funeral arrangements under the direction of the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck St., Attleboro, are private.

Kellie Murphy-Tolo, 47

DAVIE, FLA. - Kellie (Murphy) Murphy-Tolo, 47, of Davie, Fla., formerly of North Attleboro, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2008 under the care of VITAS Hospice at Memorial Hospital in Pembroke Pines, Fla.

Kellie was born on May 31, 1960 in Attleboro to Joan Murphy and the late Lawrence Murphy of North Attleboro. Kellie graduated from North Attleboro High School in 1978. Kellie attended Salem State College, and graduated from Merrimack College in 1983.

Kellie's South Florida corporate career includes the Sun-Sentinel, and benefits manager at all of the following: Nova South Eastern University, Del Ray Hospital and at Holy Cross Hospital.

Kellie was an avid outdoor enthusiast. She enjoyed the company of her sons, Ben and Tim, especially at their soccer games and practices. She also enjoyed snorkeling, kayaking and swimming with her sons. The various seasons were the inspiration for her gardening expertise. Always a devoted mother, daughter and friend, she will be sorely missed for her strength, humor and kindness to all whom she encountered.

She is survived by her two sons, Benjamin, 16, and Timothy, 13; her mother, Joan Murphy; her grandmother, Gladys Bronowiski; her Uncle Leonard and Aunt Diane Murphy and Aunt Rita Murphy, all of North Attleboro; and many cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2008 at 5 p.m. at St. Mark's Catholic Church, Stanley Street, North Attleboro.

Hope Bridge, 86

CRANSTON, R.I. - Hope O. Bridge, 86, of Bennington Road passed away Monday, April 28, 2008 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence.

Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Emma (Means) Sagar.

Mrs. Bridge was employed by the Providence School Department before retiring.

She is survived by one son, William Bridge III of Hopkinton; a daughter-in-law, Cheryl DeNinno of Warwick, R.I.; and one brother, Charles Sagar Jr. of Mt. Dora, Fla.

Agnes Decker, 91

ATTLEBORO - Ending a long illness, Agnes Fernald Decker died peacefully on March 20, 2008 in Attleboro. Mrs. Decker moved to Attleboro from Ridgewood, N.J., after suffering a stroke in 2001.

Mrs. Decker, who was 91 at the time of her death, was born in Tuxedo, N.Y. She was the daughter of Van Dyke Hill and Agnes Fernald Jones. She grew up in Glen Rock, N.J., and graduated from Ridgewood High School and Centenary College for Women in Hackettstown, N.J. (Class of 1935).

In 1944, after a career in Manhattan at Best & Company, she married Edward Horace Decker, who predeceased her in 1993. The couple lived on Fairmount Road in Ridgewood where Agnes was active in the Upper Ridgewood Community Church and at the Valley Hospital, where she volunteered in its Kurth Cottage shop for many years.

Mrs. Decker was the proud mother of three daughters, Deborah Orcutt Koch and her husband Peter of Waitsfield, Vt., Susan Jones Charron and her husband Leo of Attleboro and Hilton Head, S.C., and Virginia Fernald Decker and her husband Colin Keith of New York, N.Y., and Greenwich, Conn. She was the grandmother of Christopher Edward Charron of Providence and Tatum Lee Charron McIsaac and her husband Scott of Bellingham. Tatum and Scott had a son, Matthew Christopher, shortly after Mrs. McIsaac's grandmother's death.

William Gagnon, 71

MARQUETTE, MICH. - William Robert "Bill" Gagnon, 71, entered into eternal life on Friday, April 25, 2008.

He was born in Attleboro on Nov. 23, 1936, the son of William and Arlene (Westaver) Gagnon. He went to Attleboro High School and graduated in 1954.

Survivors include his wife of over 30 years, Peggy, of Marquette; a sister, Arlene S. Rooney of Hopkinton, N.H.; and two sons, Gregory and Jeffery of Marquette.

Eleanor Santsaver, 77

NORTH ATTLEBORO - Eleanor "Jean" Santsaver, 77, a homemaker, passed away peacefully at her home on Paine Road in North Attleboro surrounded by her family on Friday, April 25, 2008. She was the beloved wife of Peter J. Santsaver, to whom she was married on June 12, 1948 in the Old Towne Church in North Attleboro.

Born in Columbus, Ohio on Oct. 16, 1930, she was the daughter of the late William E. Beckett Sr., and Thelma E. (Bingham) Beckett. Jean was educated in the Pawtucket public schools and at North Attleboro High School.

A homemaker to her seven children, she was also very creative, enjoying ceramics, as well as painting, crafts and puzzles. She also enjoyed cooking and traveling.

She was also a long time member of the First Congregational Church of North Attleboro, where she was an active member of both the Mutual Helpers and the Colonial Guild.

In addition to her husband Peter, she is survived by six of her children: Peter "Wayne" Santsaver of Goodyear, Ariz., Brian S. Santsaver of Peoria, Ariz., James R. Sr. and his wife Melissa Santsaver of North Attleboro, Karen Jean Thomas of North Attleboro, Kathy Santsaver of Goodyear and Kim Bailey of Carmel Valley, Calif.; a brother, William E. Beckett Jr. of North Attleboro; and a sister, Nancy L. Kline of Leesburg, Fla. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, and several nieces and nephews and cousins.

She was the mother of the late David M. Santsaver Sr., and the sister of the late Jo Ann Boucher.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Thursday, May 1 at 8 p.m. in the Diamond Funeral Home, 180 North Washington St., North Attleboro.

Visiting hours will be held in the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be private.
