Last modified: Friday, May 16, 2008 6:17 PM EDT Pet of the week: Bear Bear, a 5-year-old chocolate lab, is aptly named to fit his physical size, but it also fits the size of his heart. This 114-pound guy couldn't be friendlier. He can really turn on the charm, rolling over for a belly rub and snuggling so close he nearly knocks you down! Bear is an amazing dog; along with being outgoing, he is a good learner and fun to play fetch with. He would be an awesome family dog with older kids who won't get knocked over! He's mellow enough to bring a sense of calm to a home and has the energy and enthusiasm to be a great workout partner. (He needs it!) He would be so happy to go home with you! He has been part of a family all his life where he was loved and brought joy until his owner passed away and the family could not care for him. Bear has lots of love to give to his new forever family. He is up to date on routine shots, neutered, and house trained.
