Nighthawks capture tourney title

FOXBORO - The Attleboro Nighthawks girls' soccer team won the U-12 Foxboro Cup over Memorial Day weekend, going undefeated in the tournament. The girls won six games in two days and allowed only one goal.
The highlights were a hard-fought 1-0 win in the championship game against host Foxboro and a come-from-behind 2-1 victory over Bourne in the semifinals.
Coached by Matt Lancor, Raye Lancor and Paul Harvey, the team went 6-1-3 during the regular season and captured their division title in the Boston Area Youth Soccer League, giving up four goals.
The team is Pierce Lancor, Karissa Hand, Meghan Nye, Alexa Harvey, Emily Ortega, Beth Clifton, Crystal Adams, Meghan Cassidy, Brianna Laplume, Amanda Alfani, Sarah Coakley, Kaylee Hoisington, Rachel Blackwell, Emily Bury and Allison Kane.
