FOXBORO - Three food and entertainment businesses set to open in August at Patriot Place were issued all-alcoholic restaurant licenses by the board of selectmen, with high praise from some board members for entertainment innovations, such as CBS Scene, making Foxboro their home.
The votes for all three liquor licenses and entertainment licenses were unanimous.
"It seems like a wonderful creation that CBS has come up with this at this location," Selectman James Thrasher told CBS manager Michael Seznec.
The venue will total almost 20,000 square feet, and include a three-story grill with a main dining room, bar area and function space. Indoor and outdoor seating will total 753.
CBS will broadcast live from the facility, which is expected to open the first week of August, Seznec said. CBS Scene will have an enormous audio visual room, he said.
The representatives of all three liquor license applicants discussed steps planned to ensure compliance with the serving laws and serving hours, as well as their menus.
The board voted to issue all-alcoholic restaurant licenses to Showcase Live at Patriot Place, a dining, musical and live entertainment restaurant with seating for 496 patrons indoors and 68 outdoors. Manager Joseph J. Galante said Showcase, set to open Aug. 16, has a lineup of headliner entertainers.
And selectmen granted an all-alcoholic restaurant license to Bar Louie Tavern and Grill, an 11,000-square-foot restaurant with an open area bar with indoor and outdoor seating totalling 662.
Foxboro will be Bar Louie's 47th location, several of which are similarly associated with stadiums.
