With nearly two decades of service to the Attleboro High School athletic program, including 14 years as the girls' winter track coach, Peter Lacasse has been recognized by the Mass. State Track Coaches Association as the Coach of the Year.

Nearly 100 letters of recommendation from current Bombardiers, former AHS track athletes, administrators and even rival coaches were in support of Lacasse for the honor. "Of course I can never be as good as him," chuckled Lacasse of former AHS track coaching legend Steve Newman, who mentored during him during his days as a Bombardier trackster.
