Operatunity blossoms at Orpheum for arts education

An Un-Common scholarship The Un-Common Theatre Company is offering a $500 college scholarship to a Foxboro resident who is graduating from high school in June. Applicants must meet the following criteria: participation in community service; involvement in music or theatre three out of four years in high school; an interest in pursuing music or theatre in the future; and continuing their education at an accredited two- or four-year institution. Read about bubbles The Boyden Library will kick off its summer reading program with Keith Johnson and "The Secret World of Bubbles" at 4 p.m. June 19 in the Fuller Activity Room. Register in the children's department or by calling 508-543-1246. Admission is free; the Friends of the Boyden Library are sponsoring the event. This 50-minute program is appropriate for ages 5-12. Hunakai offers classes The Hunakai Studio School of Fine Art will offer three classes during the week of July 7: "Paper Paint and Pencils"; "Teen Cartooning Illustration and Drawing" and "Adult Evening Watercolor."
