ATTLEBORO - A Norton teenager was ordered jailed on $50,000 cash bail Tuesday after being arraigned in Attleboro District Court on charges he indecently assaulted a 3-year-old boy he was baby-sitting last month.
Ricky Stevens, 17, of 20 Norton Glenn Road, Apt. 92, had an innocent plea entered by the court.
Prosecutor Jennifer Thompson said Stevens, who has no prior criminal record, admitted to the charges when questioned by police.
Judge Richard Savignano ordered Stevens to have no contact with the boy and children under 12 should he be released from jail. In addition, Savignano required Stevens to be monitored by a Global Positioning System if he is released.
He was arrested Monday after an investigation by Detective Todd Bramwell and Tom Carroll, a child abuse investigator for the Bristol County district attorney's office. He is due back in court Aug. 13.
