NORWOOD - The Foxboro American Legion Post 93 baseball team jumped up to second place in its division with an 11-5 rout under the lights at Norwood.

Butch Swanton went the distance, allowing just one earned run on five hits and two walks. Swanton (3-1) threw 96 pitches, striking out five.

Foxboro scored three in the second inning on a two-run double by Billy McGee and an RBI-single by John Ford (2-for-3). Posst 93 then broke the game open with a five-run fourth inning, including RBI-singles by Nick Thrasher (2-for-4) and Ben Hastings and a two-run double by Mike Farrell (2-for-3).

Farrell, at shortstop, and outfielder John Garabedian made several nice defensive plays.

Post 93 (12-7-2) closes out the regular season on Wednesday at home against Dedham.
