Dossman - Burgess

NORTH ATTLEBORO - Penney Lee Dossman Jr. and Geoffrey Joseph Burgess were married July 7, 2007, at the Casa Marina Hotel and Beach Resort in Key West, Fla., where the reception was also held. The Rev. Tony Delcorio officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Ed and Penney Dossman Jr. of Houston, Texas. The groom is the son of Joe and Sheila Burgess of Cumberland, R.I.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an Alfred Angelo gown with a white satin bodice, sweetheart neckline, and spaghetti straps. It had a tulle ball gown skirt and chapel train. The dress was adorned with crystal beading, pearls and sequins.

The bride's flowers included a hand-tied bouquet using stargazer lillies and hot pink roses with white fresia and a slight cascade of white dendrobium orchids.

The matron of honor was Lauren Brown, the bride's best friend. The bridesmaids were Corrie Dossman, the bride's sister, Meredith Burgess, the groom's sister, and Kimberlee Dunn, Stephanie Burns, and Katie Forbes, all friends of the bride.

Britt Chelo, best friend of the groom, served as best man. Ushers were Mark Egan, Todd Cheetham and Gerard Landry, all friends of the groom; and Dominic Carrollo and Evan Spigelman, fraternity brothers of the groom, and Edwin Dossman III, brother of the bride.

The bride graduated with a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Texas in 2002 and attained a master's degree in Education from Lesley University in 2006. She is a preschool teacher at the Early Learning Center in North Attleboro.

The groom graduated from the University of Miami with a bachelor of science degree in 1999 and received a master of science in education from Simmons College in Boston in 2003. He is a science teacher at North Attleboro High School and is the head coach of the girls varsity soccer and girls varsity tennis teams, and assistant coach of the boys wrestling team.

The couple went to the Dominican Republic on their honeymoon.

They recently bought a house in North Attleboro.
