New Smyrna Beach, Fla. - The Night Swan Intercoastal Bed and Breakfast was the setting for Kristi Cotter and Matthew Thurmaier's wedding and reception on February 23, 2008. Rev. Bob Brown officiated.

The bride is the daughter of John and Donna Bangs of South Attleboro, and the late Sandra Bangs. The bridegroom is the son of Mary Thurmaier of Stevens Point, Wisc., and the late Roland Thurmaier.

The bride wore a strapless ivory gown, and carried a bouquet of various ivory and purple blooms.

Kelly Poulin, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor.

The bridesmaid was Athena Kifah, daughter of the groom. Jeff Anderson, a longtime friend of the groom, served as best man.

The usher was Jim Skrentny, also a longtime friend of the groom.

The bride graduated from Bentley College with a bachelor's degree in accounting.

She is a senior payroll manager for NASCAR Inc., in Daytona Beach, Fla.

The groom earned bachelor's and master's degrees in computer science from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

He is the principal and president of The Computer Classroom Inc.

After a 10-day wedding trip to Maui and the Big Island in Hawaii, the couple is residing beachside in New Smyrna Beach, Fla.
