MANSFIELD - Albany International said it expects the closing of its Mansfield plant will cost the company $2.6 million and will affect about 80 people.
The report came in a filing the company made with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Relocation chances
More than half the employees will be offered relocation opportunities to other Albany International sites in the United States and Europe.
About $2 million will go to severance packages and other termination benefits, the company's filing said.
Albany International first announced the Mansfield closing in April.
The company's core business is producing custom fabrics and belts used to make paper and paperboard.
Albany International employs about 6,100 people in 14 countries.
