Mason Box wins awards for packaging NORTH ATTLEBORO - The Mason Box Co. captured three design awards at this year's North American Packaging Association awards competition held in Acapulco, Mexico. The association recognizes excellence and creativity in the packaging, rigid carton, and folding box industries. For Nuvo Vino, a Colorado-based company that developed the first non-contact, infrared thermometer that measures the temperature of the wine itself, Mason Box created a package that won an Excellence Award in the Alcohol Packaging category. Working closely with the publications department, Mason Box developed an elegantly wrapped French-door box with braided red tassels on each door. The box itself was wrapped in a stylish blue paper with subtle stripes and lined on the inside with velvety flocking in cardinal red. The finished product received a Gold Award and an Excellence Award for Superiority of Construction.
