- Thieves broke into Bethany Congregational Church on Rockhill Avenue late Sunday or early Monday morning and stole a variety of electronic equipment with an estimated value of $8,000.
Police Chief Edward O'Leary said investigators lifted fingerprints at the scene and are trying to match them with potential suspects.
Among the equipment taken was a TV, DVD player and speakers, the police chief said. The thieves entered the building by breaking a basement window, O'Leary said. Investigating are Detective Thomas Kirrane and Patrolman Shawn McKay.
