PAWTUCKET - Former Pawtucket Red Sox infielder Alejandro Machado clubbed three hits Wednesday afternoon as the Rochester Red Wings scored an 8-3 victory over the PawSox at McCoy Stadium.
The PawSox tallied a pair of first-inning runs, but had just one run and three hits the rest of the way. Keith Ginter had two of Pawtucket's five hits.
Rochester scored pairs of runs in the fifth, seventh and ninth innings, dropping PawSox starting pitcher David Pauley (12-4) to the loss.
Jeff Natale socked a solo fifth inning homer for the PawSox in his second game back in uniform since recovering from a broken left forearm in April. The PawSox hit into a pair of double plays, while stranding six. Game No. 3 of the four-game series with the Minnesota Twins' farmhands is tonight (7) with rookie Michael Bowden (0-2) on the mound for the PawSox.
