Winslow, Maine - Kelly and Danny Karter announce the engagement of their daughter, Sheba Marie Karter, to John Joseph Cronin Jr., son of Gena Schulz, of Plainville, and John Cronin Sr., of Sugar Hill, N.H.

A wedding is planned for October 2008 in Waterville, Maine.

Ms. Karter earned a bachelor's degree and MSOL from Southern New Hampshire University. She is employed as a property manager for Stone Property Management in Providence.

Mr. Cronin is a self-employed general contractor.
