Attleboro - Nancy C. Carey and Alexander P. Karol of Attleboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Lisa Lee Karol, to Adam Joseph Brillon, son of J. Lawrence Brillon of East Greenwich, R.I., and Martha Carns Brillon, of Foster, R.I.

A wedding is planned for May 16, 2009 at the Squantum Association in East Providence, R.I.

Ms. Karol is a 2000 graduate of Attleboro High School. She earned a bachelor's degree in paralegal studies from Roger Williams University in 2005.

She is employed as a paralegal for Hasbro Inc., in Pawtucket.

Mr. Brillon is a 2000 graduate of Ponaganset High School and received a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Roger Williams University in 2004. He is a police officer for the town of Tiverton, R.I.
