Dennis - Mr. and Mrs. Gary F. Lombard of Dennis, formerly of Norton, announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Lynn, to Scott Thomas Goodwin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon F. Goodwin of Yarmouthport.

A wedding is planned for August 9, 2008 at St. Pius X Church in Yarmouth. A reception will follow at The Sea Crest in North Falmouth.

Ms. Lombard graduated from Norton High School in 2001. She earned a bachelor's degree in English from Providence College in 2005, and a master's degree in education, also from Providence College, in 2007.

She is a middle school English teacher in the Carver public school system.

Mr. Goodwin graduated from Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School in 2001. He earned a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of New Hampshire in 2005. He is employed as a financial relationship specialist for Sovereign Bank.
