North Attleboro - William Horton and Doreen Horton of North Attleboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Kathleen Horton, to Kevin Joyce Jr., son of Kevin Joyce Sr., and Rachel Joyce of Holyoke.

A wedding is planned for August 15, 2008 at St. Brigid's Parish in Amherst, with a reception following the ceremony at the Lord Jeffery Inn in Amherst.

Ms. Horton graduated from North Attleboro High School in 1991. She earned a bachelor's degree in communications from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 1995. She graduated from Salem State College with a master's degree in education in 2003.

She is the assistant director of admissions and a residence director at Bay Path College in Longmeadow.

Mr. Joyce graduated from Holyoke High School in 1999. He earned a bachelor's degree in sociology with a concentration in criminal justice from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 2003. He is a business insurance specialist at Phillips Insurance in Chicopee.

The couple is currently residing in Longmeadow.
