Plainville - Howard and Carol Shwartz of Plainville announce the engagement of their daughter, Cortney Leigh, to Eric Jason Greene, son of Albert and Bernadette Greene of Wrentham.

A wedding is planned for July 2009 at the Lakeview Pavilion in Foxboro.

Ms. Shwartz graduated from Falmouth High School in 1999. She graduated cum laude from Stonehill College in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in history. She earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from Curry College in 2007.

She is a registered nurse at Brigham and Women's Hospital.

Mr. Greene graduated from King Philip Regional High School in 1998. He earned a bachelor's degree in history from Stonehill College in 2002, and a master's degree in education from Fitchburg State College in 2007. He is a history teacher at Norton High School.
