NA woman hurt in Plainville crash
Top Headlines The victim, whose name was not available Friday evening, was taken by Plainville ambulance to Rhode Island Hospital's Trauma Center with a broken leg and other nonlife-threatening injuries, a fire official said. She was reported in stable condition. "It took about five minutes to extricate her out of the car," Fire Lt. Robert Skinner said. The car she was driving sustained extensive front-end and driver's side damage. The accident, which is under investigation, was reported at 9:37 a.m. on Route 1 North at Taunton Street, causing a significant traffic tie-up. A Wrentham ambulance transported the male passenger of the other vehicle, a SUV, to Sturdy Memorial Hospital, Attleboro. He suffered minor injuries, Skinner said. Local and state police as well as MassHighway also responded.
