Woman accused of stealing jewels while posing as home buyer is held without bail

PLAINVILLE - A North Attleboro woman who allegedly posed as a prospective home buyer during an open house in Plainville, then stole $10,000 in jewelry, is now in jail without bail.

Millene Wilmarth, 32, of 59 Leonard St., North Attleboro, was arrested by Plainville police Monday after she allegedly tried to sell the pilfered valuables at a local jewelry store. She was arraigned Tuesday at Wrentham District Court, where innocent pleas were entered by the court on her behalf on charges of receiving stolen property, breaking and entering and larceny of more than $250.

North Attleboro police say she is under investigation for a similar scheme allegedly committed in North Attleboro.
