BOURNE - Those heading to the Cape for some post-Labor Day fun will want to take note: Pavement repairs on the Bourne Bridge spanning the Cape Cod Canal will begin this week.

State highway officials said travel will be restricted to one lane in each direction when the work is being done during nighttime and early morning hours.

The work will begin, weather permitting, Wednesday at 7 p.m., and end about 5:30 a.m. Work will take place Thursday during the same time period, and should be completed by Friday.
