Cigar Masters Providence at the Westin's grand opening runs from Tuesday through Saturday, with drinks, food, and cigars.

The Genesis Center is the site of Food for Thought Thursday, Sept. 25, at the Botanical Center of Roger Williams Park in Providence. Food samples from 30 restaurants will be paired with wines from seven local vineyards, all for 50 bucks. VIP Champagne hour is 5:30 to 6:30 and 100 bucks.

Saturday is Vasa Day at Little Rhody Vasa Park on the Boswell Trail in Foster, starting at 11. Look for hot dogs, Swedish breads and baked goods will be available during the celebration.
