PawSox finish strong

PAWTUCKET - The Pawtucket Red Sox set single-season franchise marks for wins and winning percentage as they capped the regular season Monday afternoon with a 9-2 victory over Lehigh Valley at McCoy Stadium.

For the PawSox, it was the 15th victory over Lehigh in the last 16 meetings and it also helped the team set the franchise record for wins (85) and winning percentage (.594). Pawtucket can add to those totals as the International League playoffs start Wednesday, the PawSox (85-58) hosting Scranton.

Bartolo Colon (3-1) earned the win for Pawtucket as he gave up one run on four hits in six innings. In the third inning, Jeff Natale ripped a two-run homer to get the PawSox on the board. A five-run fourth inning broke things open for Pawtucket. Natale added an RBI single in the fifth.
