NORTON - Playing the first of four matches in four days, the Mansfield High golf team began its Hockomock League season with a 165-193 rout of King Philip Tuesday at the Norton Country Club.

Senior Evan Sohn carded a medalist round of 39 f or the Hornets, while junior Tom Grant came in with a 41. The Hornets return to the Norton CC today to face Foxboro.

** At the Ledgemont Country Club, DIGHTON-REHOBOTH downed arch-rival SEEKONK 331/2-201/2 in a South Coast Conference match. Falcon Tyler Bowen carded a co-medalist round of 39 to win his match at the No. 1 spot over Seekonk's Zach Baron, who also came in with the low round of the day. Ben LaChance and Brian Tavares took 131/2 points in the third flight for D-R.
