NOTESTER: Norton is a tasty place Saturday




Saturday restaurants from Attleboro, Norton and Mansfield will be offering sample tastes during a charitable event at EPOCH Assisted Living on Mansfield Avenue in Norton.

Tickets are 5 bucks in advance, 7 at the door. Proceeds will benefit Cupboard of Kindness and the Norton Council on Aging.

Booked already are Roche Bros., Albertos Pizza & Pub, the Downtown Cafe, McDonald's, Village Pizza and Harry O's, all in Norton, and The Fresh Catch in Mansfield.in Norton. (508.285.3355)

They have a new menu and 18 HD TVs at Harry O's on 123 in Norton, (508.285.4299) Fridays its fish and chips for 7 bucks and Sundays it's family-style chicken, all you can eat, for 7 bucks with the coupons in The Sun Chronicle for Corinnes on Newport Avenue in Pawtucket. They boast about "good home- cooked meals at low prices" at D & D Breakfast & Luncheon Shoppe on Man Mar Drive in Plainville.

On Wednesday Slow Food Boston bring the flavors of Deutschland to Dorchester at their second annual ode to German beers at Ashmont Grill. Al Forno on South Main Street in Providence is having a wine dinner with Amelia Saltsman, author of "The Santa Monica Farmers' Market Cookbook," on Wednesday, Sept. 24, at 6:30. The five-course meal is 125 bucks. (401.273.9760)
