Magic of Christmas, Singing Auditions on Sept. 19 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. and Sept. 20 from 2-5 p.m., First Congregational Church, 785 South Main St., Rte. 104, Raynham. Dancing Audition: Sept. 21, 2 p.m., Dance Theatre of New England, 32 Scotland Blvd., #5, Bridgewater. The Star Players are looking for a strong singing ensemble of 30 to 60 members with some experience with choral 4-part singing, ages 15 to senior. This group will remain mostly stationary throughout the show. Singers must be able to memorize 50 minutes of choral music. A singing audition is required. The dance ensemble will consist of 16 to 24 strong, female, teen to adult dancers. The group will be prominently featured throughout the show and will learn very challenging choreography including synchronized tap, ballet and jazz. A dance audition is required. Dancers should come prepared to dance at 2:00; please bring jazz and tap shoes. The Acting ensemble will be 12 to 30 actors, ages 16 to senior and they will create featured roles within the show such as Dickens characters, storybook characters and Bible/Nativity characters. Members of the acting ensemble may also perform in the singing ensemble. A singing audition is recommended. All auditioners should bring; a recent photograph (that we may keep) and a resume or list of previous theatrical experience and/or performance training (if any).
