REHOBOTH - The town's highway department will begin repaving Route 118 from Bay State Road to Brook Street today.

The work is expected to last through the end of the week, with the road reduced to one lane on some days and closed on others, highway officials said.

Highway Superintendent Peter Richmond suggested that drivers give themselves extra time to get through the work zone.

The work is funded by the state.
