NORTON - All but two of the 54 students in Norton's recent summer school program passed, administrator Margaret Gentili said.
The two students who didn't pass were dismissed, one for excessive absenteeism and the other for other infractions, Gentili told the school committee.
Each course ran for 30 hours over four weeks, Mondays through Fridays.
"The students are here learning for 90 minutes. There really is no filler," Gentili said.
Of the 54 students, 29 were from Norton High School and 18 from Norton Middle School. Seven came from other districts, Gentili said, although two of them were Norton residents.
Enrollment was down slightly from 2007, when 58 students attended the school. There were 80 students enrolled in 2006.
Meanwhile, Norton's five-week special education summer program drew 56 students, Director of Pupil Personnel Services Jeanne Sullivan said. The program was offered to students in grades 1-12. However, the oldest student was an eighth-grader.
