WRENTHAM - A vehicle smashed into and snapped a utility pole on Green Street near Aggregate Industries and the outlet mall Tuesday night, taking down wires and shutting the road for more than two hours.

The accident was reported at about 9:20 p.m. The driver didn't suffer any injuries as airbags deployed, public safety workers said. NationalGrid responded to replace the pole and took care of the wires.
