Embroiderers' Guild to meet

FOXBORO - The Mayflower Chapter of the Embroiderers' Guild of America will hold its next meeting at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6 in the Fuller Room of the Boyden Library.

The program for the meeting will be a discussion of the group learning project for this year.

New members are welcome at any time. The guild usually meets on the second Monday of the month.

FOXBORO - The Neponset Valley Alzheimer's Partnership will host its monthly meeting from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 9 at Foxboro Council on Aging, 75 Central St.

Deputy Superintendent Bill Knight will speak about Project Lifesaver, a growing program aiding the victims and families of those suffering from Alzheimer's Disease and related disorders such as Down's syndrome and autism. The program uses state-of-the-art technology employing wristband transmitters to locate wandering and lost adults and children.

Health center takes 'Trip to the Farm'

FOXBORO - The Foxboro Center for Women's & Family Health on Route 1 will host a free "Trip to the Farm" on Saturday, Oct. 25. It will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at Jane and Paul's Farm in Norfolk.

The event is open to all. Adults and children are invited to activities, which include feeding the animals, hay rides, pumpkin picking, and a corn maze.
