Haunt at Winslow farms this weekend
Top Headlines Winslow Farm Animal Sanctuary's annual "Haunting in the Woods" starts tonight and runs every weekend in October except for Halloween night. The proceeds will "get the animals through the winter months," funding food and shelter for them, said Debra White, president of the farm at 37 Eddy St. Admission is $10 for adults, $7 for children and free for children under 2. Featuring separate trails for adults and kids, the spooky attraction will be open from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 7 to 9 p.m. Sundays. The kids' trail started about 10 years ago, and the adult trail is in its third year, White said. The trails attract about 200 people each weekend, she said. The farm's nonprofit status is part of the draw, she said. "It's kind of a win-win situation," White said. "They like to put their money toward something useful."
