Hearing on CBS Scene liquor violations put off

FOXBORO - Selectmen have voted to continue until Oct. 28 a public hearing on alleged liquor law violations by CBS Scene, the new restaurant and entertainment venue at Gillette Stadium.

The hearing was put off Tuesday at the request of CBS Scene lawyers, in part because the day was Rosh Hashanah, one of the Jewish high holidays.

Town Counsel Paul DeRensis said he had no objection to putting off the hearing until later this month.

Police Chief Edward O'Leary earlier provided selectmen and CBS Scene manager Michael Seznek with reports on the four police incidents involving CBS Scene, including the alleged sale of alcohol to minors taken into protective custody.

" Fortunately no drunk driveing accidents came out of this. Then the victims would sue the Kraft Family. "

" I don't understand how there is to be a seperation of church and state when a court hearing is postponed because of a religious holiday. If the court is open, and has it scheduled, then it should be held. Let's just hold all court cases and make no rulings on this day. Got to be fair. It is the US court system. "
