As we head into the first weekend of autumn, I wanted you to have our top ten picks for fall style. Whether you find yourself shopping at the stores, or in your own closet this season, it is our hope that a few of these ideas will resonate with you. Remember, dressing well always requires using common sense. Please adopt these trends in a way that works for your professional and personal lifestyles. Here's to the season ahead!

Gray and purple

Gray is the hottest neutral of the season. Purple - from deep plums to light lavenders - accents it nicely.

Ruffled blouses

These shirts update tailored separates and look great on their own or peeking out from under a jacket.

Ankle booties

These boots work as well with cigarette pants as they do with mini-dresses and pencil slim skirts. Some even have peep-toes. Be sure to pick a heel height that works for you.

Floral skirts

Make them work for cooler weather with tights, flats and fitted sweaters.

Cropped tuxedo jackets

Find them in designer boutiques, vintage stores and everywhere in between. They offer both day and night versatility.

Colorful, oversized handbags

Pick a hue you love and wear it with everything.

Menswear details

High-heeled oxford pumps with laces and tassels along with tweed pants, vests and jackets lead the way for celebrating this trend.
Best sellers Geox, whose flats are shown here, has made huge inroads into the weekend women’s shoe market largely because of its patented breathable construction.
Ballet flats

Choose those with a slight heel & snipped toes for a fresh look.

Patterned tights

Add leg interest and texture to a variety of fall looks.

Jeweled necklaces

Spend a little or a lot - just make sure your neckline sparkles.
