NORTON - A Norton High School senior is "doing fine" after being taken to the hospital on a stretcher during Friday night's game, Athletic Director Terri Pillsbury said Monday.
Lineman Mike Rondina was treated and released from Rhode Island Hospital in Providence on Friday, hospital spokeswoman Nancy Cawley said.
Rondina was injured during the second quarter of Friday night's game in Norton against Dover-Sherborn High School.
Pillsbury said her policy is not to discuss medical issues, citing the federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
However, "He's doing well," she said.
