WRENTHAM - Chris Brennan scored twice as part of a four-goal second half for the King Philip High boys' soccer team Friday, the Warriors going on to the 4-0 victory over Foxboro in Hockomock League play.
It didn't take long for Brennan to settle in after the intermission as he scored his first goal just 24 seconds in. Less than a minute later Justin Lavallee made it a 2-0 game and the host Warriors were in business. At 19 minutes, Brennan netted hits second of the match for a 3-0 lead then senior Joel Diamond, who also had two assists in the match, capped the scoring for make it a four-goal game.
"(Foxboro) played tight defense, especially in the first half. We had our chances, they weren't the best chances, but with them playing so tight we had to take what we could get. The second half we got to open it up a bit and once we got that first one we were in good shape," said KP coach Kip Lewis.
Tyler Marra pitched the fourth shutout of the season for KP, stopping all three shots he faced. For Foxboro, Sean McLaughlin was busy as King Philip ended up with 16 shots.
King Philip (6-2 Hockomock, 7-2) takes on Canton next Monday.

Stoughton 1
STOUGHTON - A highlight-reel goal by Christian Pirnie lifted the Rocketeers over the Black Knights in a Hockomock League match.
After Stoughton tied the match at 1-1 with about six minutes left to play, North struck back about a minute later. Diego DaSilva sent a crossing pass to Colin Flynn, whose attempt at a header went backwards to Pirnie. Pirnie then blasted in a shot from about 30 yards out into the upper right-hand corner of the net.
Flynn gave North a 1-0 halftime lead, scoring off a Pirnie corner kick 18 minutes into the game. Rocketeer goalie Chris McKearney had three saves. The Rocketeers (6-2-1, 5-2-1 league) entertain Mansfield on Monday.
Norton 3, Millis 0
MILLIS - Sophomore striker Keegan Campbell notched his first career hat trick, accounting for all of Norton's scoring in a blanking of Tri-Valley League foe Millis.
Campbell had a pair of first-half goals, then capped the hat-trick performance with another tally in the second half. Devin Askew helped the cause, assisting on two of the goals, while Nick Salvo assisted on another. Pat Hillman and Craig Woodworth combined in goal for Norton, both making two saves for the shutout.
Mike Kelly also played well, hitting the post twice for the Lancers (6-3-1), who visit Holliston on Monday.

West Bridgewater 1
FRANKLIN - Junior Drew Flamenco scored the first three goals of the game for a hat trick as the Cougars ran away with a Mayflower League victory.
Tri-County also got goals from Josh Strom and Jake Crowley. Cougar goalie Sean Dorsey made four saves as T-C outshot the Wildcats 11-5. Tri-County (7-3, 7-2 league) is at Chatham on Tuesday.
